Things to do

The Blackdown Hills

The Blackdown Hills form a tranquil, beautiful, and relatively isolated landscape on the Devon and Somerset border. Steep ridges, high plateau, valleys and springs create a charming mosaic of countryside dotted with farms, villages and ancient features. This special place is home to wildlife and people, with valuable habitats existing alongside living, working communities. Unique geology creates an exceptional environment where rare plant, insect and invertebrate species can flourish

Parish Walks

St.Andrews Church Broadhembury

Consecrated on December 3rd 1259 and dating mainly from the 2nd half of the 15th Century the church is a fine example of architecture. Of particular note is the 100 foot tower that houses a heavy peal of bells, the porch, the vaulted roof and the 15th Century font.
