Food & Drink

We specialise in locally sourced and seasonal ingredients

Meet the Chef

Head chef Lee Villiers was born and bred in East Devon with a passion for food. Lee has been cheffing all his life and has an extensive CV in the south west. His last post was as Head Chef at the Masons Arms in Branscombe for St Austell Brewery, where he was often used to help design the menus across the managed house estate.

Lee really enjoys cooking with fish and enjoys creating menus that cater for all tastes and also have style and excitement with them.

Food

Almost the whole menu is either gluten free or a gluten free option can be provided, and our chef is excellent at being able to tweak his creations for all dietary needs.

The food is all cooked fresh on site from local suppliers. We also have an orchard where we source fresh fruit, and we are in the process of developing our new vegetable garden, so we can grow our own. This will allow us to use the freshest of ingredients and also reduce our carbon footprint.

Drinks

We offer a varied selection of local ales, lagers and ciders. We also use local suppliers for our wines and have an extensive collection of wines by the glass and are happy to offer suggestions with regards to food and wine pairings.

If the season is right you can also treat yourself to a freshly squeezed apple juice by Gavin, from apples around the local villages.
