We aim to always provide the best service, products and experience to all our customers. This is occasionally rewarded with an award, or with very pleasant feedback through our Facebook page or via TripAdvisor.
- Featured within the CAMRA Good Beer Guide 2017
Out of more than 50,000 pubs in Britain, only 4,500 of the finest outlets for real ale are chosen for inclusion in the Good Beer Guide. Pubs in the Guide are chosen by local CAMRA members and often as a result of recommendations from readers. It is a remarkable achievement for The Drewe Arms in Broadhembury to have earned a place in the latest edition, and speaks volumes for the quality of our real ale offering and for our high standards in general!
- CAMRA Rural Pub of the Season (Summer), 2016
- CAMRA Rural Pub of the Year, 2014
This promotes pubs that sell locally-brewed real ale, reducing the number of ‘beer miles’, and supporting local breweries. The Sustainable Communities Act, which CAMRA strongly supports, provides a definition of local as up to 30 miles from the point of sale. CAMRA recommends that the distance is calculated from the pub to the brewery and should be based on the shortest driving distance. Real ales from regional and national breweries as well as from microbreweries can be regarded as “local” if they are brewed within what the branch has decided as being the local area.
Awarded by Exeter & East Devon CAMRA members to the pub serving excellent real ale (of course!) with the best outdoor area for the season, with a sheltered pleasant garden but where you can escape indoors if the weather isn’t to pleasant.
We were congratulated on winning this award with the following report: “The Drewe Arms at Broadhembury won the Autumn Pub of the season. About 15 members and two brewers Allan from Exeter and Ben from Otter went to the presentation and had a very pleasant lunch. The family provided very welcome sandwiches, pies etc which were much enjoyed by all. Exeter and East Devon CAMRA Congratulates you on winning this award.”
